Have Luminous Skin That’s Even-Toned and Bright
Melasma is a common dermatological issue where excess pigmentation (melanin) is present in the skin.
Melasma commonly occurs on the face – where it’s the most noticeable and the most difficult to hide. Topical creams can only go so far – but lasers offer a solution. Sollay is proud to offer Q-switched Nd:YAG laser treatments for melasma paired with other skin lightening procedures and products to even out skin pigmentation for a flawless look.
Our Unique Approach
Sollay has invested in the leading technology for treating melasma. With top-of-the-line Q-switch lasers paired with skin lightening products and microdermabrasion, we can customize a treatment path to help you safely remove excess skin pigmentation as fast as possible.
What to Expect
During your consultation, we will assess your skin to determine the severity of the melasma pigmentation. Depending on the darkness of the pigment, we may recommend a singular or multi-step approach (that may involve other products or procedures).
The key approach at Sollay is treating the melasma pigment with our advanced Q-switched laser. During the treatment, a laser will quickly pulse light over the affected area, breaking up the excess melanin in your skin. Over the weeks following the treatment, the pigmentation will gradually lighten.
For some patients, additional treatments may be needed based on the darkness of the melasma and the body’s ability to remove the excess pigmentation. Most patients will need about three treatments for desired results.
For patients using a multi-step approach, we will recommend microdermabrasion before the laser procedure and skin brightening products to be applied at home after the procedure.
Long-term results for melasma can potentially be difficult, but Sollay offers the best multi-step solution in the Baltimore area – we care about helping you achieve the skin you want.
